Steele exited the first quarter, recording no carries and one four-yard reception before his departure. If Steele is unable to return, Jaydon Blue will be left as the only reserve option behind starting running back Dameon Pierce. |

He exited for an evaluation in the medical tent and was then escorted to the locker room by the training staff. With Smith ruled out for the remainder of Week 6, the Eagles will need to rely on Jonathan Greenard, Arnold Ebiketie and Keyshawn James-Newby to fill the void. |

Eli StowersTE · 3d agoQuadriceps · Back Oct 26 · 3d ago | Injured Reserve | Quadriceps | Oct 26 | Stowers will have to wait at least another week before making his regular-season NFL debut after he had his 21-day practice window opened earlier this week. Stowers should see snaps as a catch-first tight end behind Dallas Goedert once he's ready to return to game action. |
Grant CalcaterraTE · 3d agoBack · Back Oct 26 · 3d ago | Injured Reserve | Back | Oct 26 | Calcaterra remains on injured reserve, though his 21-day practice window was opened earlier in the week. He's nearing a return, though his role is unclear behind Dallas Goedert and potentially even block-first TE Johnny Mundt. |
Jakorian BennettCB · 3d agoKnee · Back Oct 26 · 3d ago | Injured Reserve | Knee | Oct 26 | Bennett hasn't yet played this season after hurting his knee during training camp. However, he had his 21-day practice window opened Wednesday and upgraded to full practice participation Friday following a pair of limited sessions, so the third-year cornerback could make his season debut next Monday against Dallas. |
Jalen HurtsQB · YesterdayCalf · Left · Back Feb 15, 2027 · Yesterday | Injured Reserve | Calf · Left | Feb 15, 2027 | Initially diagnosed with a superficial blood clot after being cleated in the left calf in an Oct. 4 loss to the Rams, Hurts had been cleared by doctors to play in Week 5 in the Eagles' loss to the Jaguars in London before more recent testing last week showed that the blood clot had moved. According to a statement released Monday by his agent, Nicole Lynn, Hurts now has been diagnosed with a deep vein thrombosis in the left calf, as well as bilateral pulmonary emboli. Hurts has gone on blood thinners to treat the blood clots, and while his prognosis is good and he's not expected to face any long-term health effects, he won't be able to participate in football activities until he's off blood thinners. With that in mind, Hurts isn't expected to make a push for a late-season return from injured reserve and instead will turn his focus toward returning to full health in 2027. The Eagles will move forward with Tanner McKee, Cole Payton and Joe Milton as their options at quarterback. |
Landon DickersonG · 3d agoKnee · Back Oct 26 · 3d ago | Injured Reserve | Knee | Oct 26 | Dickerson remains on injured reserve after he wasn't activated Saturday despite having his 21-day practice window opened earlier in the week. Willie Lampkin should make another start at left guard for the Eagles. |
Cole PaytonQB · 2d ago2d ago | Active | — | — | A rookie fifth-round pick out of North Dakota State, Payton has yet to make his NFL debut, but he's one step closer to doing so after Jalen Hurts (calf) was placed on injured reserve Saturday. Payton had slotted third or fourth on the depth chart through the first five games of the season, but he'll be dressing as the No. 2 option Sunday while McKee draws his third career NFL start. Since he's set to become a free agent after the season and may not be viewed as the Eagles' long-term plan at the backup quarterback spot, McKee could be in danger of losing his grip on the starting job if he struggles in his extended snaps while Hurts remains out indefinitely. Payton could be someone to keep an eye on if the Eagles decide to give him a look at any point, as he displayed intriguing rushing skills during his collegiate career and gained 45 yards on three carries during his limited preseason action. |
Dallas GoedertTE · 2d ago2d ago | Active | — | — | Goedert was able to reel in exactly six passes for the second straight week while his eight targets were second only to DeVonta Smith (14). With Jalen Hurts (calf) on injured reserve with a superficial blood clot, Tanner McKee took over at starting quarterback Sunday, logging 45 pass attempts in the defeat. If Philadelphia remains pass-heavy moving forward, Goedert will stand to continue seeing plenty of looks. |
Dameon PierceRB · 2d ago2d ago | Active | — | — | Pierce handled all the running back carries for the Eagles with all of Saquon Barkley (hamstring), Tank Bigsby (IR, abdomen) and Will Shipley (IR, foot) unavailable. As his rushing line suggests, Pierce found running room mostly at a premium, but he managed his first touchdown on the ground since the 2024 season on a two-yard run late in the first half. Pierce also was surprisingly involved as a receiver with Tanner McKee quarterbacking the offense, and the veteran back will remain in a similar role in a Week 7 home matchup against the Cowboys next Monday night if Barkley remains out. |
DeVonta SmithWR · 2d ago2d ago | Active | — | — | Smith had an eventful day in his return from a two-game absence, leading the Eagles in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon. He also worked around getting briefly shaken up following a long incompletion where he appeared to have taken a blow to the chest area, and he added his second touchdown reception of the campaign via a 19-yard grab early in the fourth quarter. Smith displayed solid chemistry with fill-in signal-caller Tanner McKee, which certainly is a welcome development considering Jalen Hurts (IR, calf) is sidelined indefinitely. |
Dontayvion WicksWR · 20h ago20h ago | Active | — | — | Wicks' 24 receiving yards were his second lowest of the season, but he still finished third among Eagles pass catchers in that category Sunday behind DeVonta Smith (75) and Dallas Goedert (61). Week 6 was the Eagles' first game with Tanner McKee under center, and with Jalen Hurts (calf) out for the rest of the season, the scoring floors of Wicks and the other Philadelphia pass catchers figure to be lower moving forward. That said, the Eagles have a juicy Week 7 matchup on Monday, Oct. 26 against the Cowboys, whose defense ranks in the bottom-10 in the league in fantasy points allowed per game to wide receivers. |
Drew KendallC · 2d ago2d ago | Active | — | — | Kendall ended the week with consecutive limited practices. The center has recovered from his knee injury in time to suit up for Sunday's game. |
Hollywood BrownWR · YesterdayYesterday | Active | — | — | — |
Jake ElliottPK · 19h ago19h ago | Active | — | — | With Jalen Hurts (calf) out for the year, Sunday was the Eagles' first game with Tanner McKee under center. The offense labored to get up and down the field, and it was the fifth time in six games that Elliott attempted zero or one field goals. Week 7 against the Cowboys on Monday, Oct. 26 could be a better night offensively for the Eagles, given that Dallas' defense ranks 30th in the league in yards allowed per game. |
Joe MiltonQB · YesterdayYesterday | Active | — | — | — |
Jonathan GreenardLB · 4d ago4d ago | Active | — | — | Greenard logged a full practice Friday, which was enough for the veteran edge rusher to be cleared to return from a one-game absence due to an ankle injury, and it's a timely return given that Jalyx Hunt (ankle/knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game. Greenard has one solo tackle and one forced fumble across two regular-season games. |
Makai LemonWR · 2d ago2d ago | Active | — | — | The rookie wideout briefly exited Week 6 with an undisclosed injury but quickly returned and ended up running a team-high 45 routes on Tanner McKee's 49 dropbcks. It still didn't result in much production, as Lemon's six targets were a distant third on the team. The first-round wide receiver has just 18 catches for 127 yards and no touchdowns on 28 targets through six games. He can't be trusted as a fantasy starter headed into next Monday night's game against the Cowboys. |
Tanner McKeeQB · 2d ago2d ago | Active | — | — | McKee's completion total was impressive, but he averaged a modest 4.8 yards per attempt on the afternoon despite having DeVonta Smith back from a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury. McKee's longest completion of the day went for 19 yards to Smith on a fourth-quarter scoring strike, which brought Philadelphia to within five at the time. McKee ultimately wasn't able to complete the comeback in the first installment of what figures to be an extended starting assignment in place of Jalen Hurts (IR, calf), and he'll look to be more aggressive during a Week 7 home divisional clash with the Cowboys next Monday night. |
Zach ErtzTE · 3d ago3d ago | Active | — | — | After being signed to the Eagles' practice squad Sept. 22, Ertz was elevated three straight weeks and produced a 3-22-0 receiving line on eight targets. However, he's reached the maximum with the three elevations and would need to be signed to Philadelphia's active roster in order to suit up again on game day. Ertz may no longer be needed due to Dallas Goedert returning to action in Week 5. Plus, Grant Calcaterra (back) and Eli Stowers (quadriceps), both of whom are still on IR, are on the verge of being activated. |
