Who is out, doubtful or questionable, why, and when they are expected back, with the teams playing tonight first. Status changes move prices before the research does.
What the statuses mean
- Out
- Will not play in the next game.
- Doubtful
- Unlikely to play.
- Questionable
- Uncertain to play; usually decided close to game time.
- Day-to-day
- Minor injury, re-checked every day.
- GTD
- Game-time decision: settled shortly before the game.
- IR / IL
- Injured Reserve (NFL, NHL) or Injured List (MLB): out a set minimum, like 4 NFL games or 10, 15 or 60 MLB days.
- Probable
- Expected to play.
- Active
- Still on the report, but cleared to play.
“Expected back” is the date the team or outlet reported: an estimate, not a promise.
